The 2012 Corset Cruise is set for Saturday, Aug. 25,
Once again, this will be a "women's-only ride-to-the-sea." Each woman who participates must raise at least $50.
Where you start the ride depends on you. The girls of Women In The Wind - Wild Rogue will start their ride from D&S Harley-Davidson that morning. Women in other areas can organize their own ride that day - but we'll all end up at the same place. The destination city and hotel will be announced soon.
This is a pink ribbon fundraiser to provide diagnosis and treatment for local women with breast cancer. So, to participate, each woman must raise at least $50 for the cause. (Of course, we hope you raise more! And we'll give some cool prizes to the women who do!)
We will reserve a block of rooms for the Corset Cruise riders. Women who plan to participate will need to call and book their room by July 1. We'll celebrate at the end of the day with a party -- wearing our corsets, feather boas, rhinestones, tiaras and all the bling you can fit in your saddlebag!
The ride is free, as long as you have pre-registered and raised your $50. Riders must pay for their own hotel room, and dinner. Major event sponsorships are available for $250 and up. We'll have pre-registration forms up by early April.
The annual Corset Cruise has raised over $30,000 for mammograms since it started in 2005. It is hosted by the Wild Rogue Chapter of Women In the Wind.
