The 4th annual Corset Cruise -- a pink ribbon fundraiser for motorcycle riders -- will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008 in Southern Oregon. The event is hosted by the Wild Rogue Chapter of Women In the Wind, and is open to men and women who like to ride motorcycles and want to raise money for a good cause. The Corset Cruise has raised over $15,000 for mammograms & breast cancer treatment for local women since it began in 2005.

The Corset Cruise encourages riders to dress up in Mardi Gras style. Lingerie, feather boas, tiaras, rhinestones, leather and lace are encouraged! Riders will meet and register at D&S Harley-Davidson in Phoenix, Oregon, then go on a 100-mile Poker Run through the beautiful mountains around the Rogue Valley. The ride will end with a community party including food, beer, live music, drawings and more, at Riverside Park in Grants Pass.

So, if you would like to help us help local women, come down to D&S Harley-Davidson and register between noon and 2 p.m. Cost of registration is $30 on the day of the event. You can save $5 by pre-registering by July 7. Includes one poker hand, dinner and an event pin. T-shirts are also available for $15, plus shipping. Direct, tax-deductible donations are also appreciated.
